Irish Films
Piloted in the late spring of 2024 and linked to the anniversary of the forming of the BIS at the Wellington Hotel in April 1825. It was well received and has become a regular event in cooperation with City Cinema.
Depending on film lengths the likely dates and times are Saturdays and Sundays at 4 or 4:30pm. There will be family films and adult films on offer. After the adult films, filmgoers are invited to meet at the Old Dublin Pub for a discussion of the film.

Drawing from writer/director David Gleeson's own experience growing up in a family of cinema owners where his father's 78-year career marked the longest in the cinema business in Ireland, if not the world, the film is a love letter to a peculiarly Irish cinema experience, which was as much about connecting with people as it was about the movie.
